Profession: Teen Behavior and Leadership Coach
About Elizabeth: I’m a New Yorker by birth—raised on Long Island—but after 8.5 winters in Chicago, I now happily call suburban Atlanta home. I studied education at Villanova University and later earned two master’s degrees—one in STEM Education and another in Educational Leadership. My academic path reflects both a love for innovation and a deep commitment to leadership in teen development. Classically trained as a teacher, I’ve spent over 20 years working with kids in classrooms, on the sports fields, and around family dinner tables. Today, I’m the founder of DISCover Greater, where I help teens shine—one personality at a time. Using the DISC personality model, I coach teens (and their families) on how to build self-awareness, strengthen relationships, and meet life’s challenges with confidence and clarity. My sweet spot is working with teens who challenge authority, push boundaries, and don’t always fit neatly into traditional systems. I understand their need for autonomy, and I hold them accountable in ways that are both firm and fun. Outside of work, you’ll find me playing golf, walking my golden doodle, or diving into educational policy (my guilty pleasure is politics, but mostly through the lens of schools and reform!). I’m a proud mom of two active teenagers, ages 13 and 16, and while time is scarce, I still make space for service. I’m a Sustainer member of the Junior League, having volunteered in both the Chicago and Atlanta chapters, and I’m actively working on completing my DAR application. I also serve as a board member for my children’s school and my former golf league. One of my greatest joys is coaching middle school girls' lacrosse. It’s a pivotal time for self-discovery and grit—both on and off the field. I love helping them grow not only as athletes but as confident young women. As women in business, I believe we’re uniquely positioned to influence the next generation—not just through what we build, but how we lead. I’m passionate about using my work to empower young people, especially teens, with the self-awareness and resilience they need to grow into confident, capable leaders. And I’m excited to connect with other women in Cobb & Roswell who are equally committed to growth, impact, and community. We rise by lifting others—and that begins with showing up for one another.
Business Description: At DISCover Greater, we help teens shine—one personality at a time. Using the DISC model of human behavior, I empower teens who challenge the status quo to better understand themselves, navigate relationships, and meet expectations at home and school without losing their voice or individuality. I believe every teen has the potential to lead, connect, and succeed when they’re understood—and when they learn to understand others. My work bridges the gap between frustrated families and the bright, capable kids they’re raising.
Ideal Customer: My ideal customer is a parent—most often a mom—of a strong-willed, high-energy teen who’s pushing boundaries at home, in school, or in life. This parent knows their teen is capable of great things but feels like they’ve tried “everything” and nothing is quite working. They’re looking for a new perspective—not just for their teen, but for themselves as well. Often, these are supportive, nurturing parents raising dominant, independent teens—and the dynamic can feel like oil and water. These parents may not always feel confident stepping into unfamiliar solutions, but they care deeply and are open to support that’s both compassionate and results-driven. I work best with families who are ready to try something different—those who are willing to be curious, learn alongside their teen, and commit to growth, even if it feels a little uncomfortable at first. They don’t need to have it all figured out; they just need to take that first step.
Good Referral Partners: I love collaborating with professionals who support teens and their families from different angles. Some of my best referral partners include school counselors, therapists, academic coaches, and pediatricians—people who understand the deeper layers behind a teen's behavior and know when it's time for something beyond traditional support. I also partner well with youth sports coaches, college planners, and even other parent or life coaches who don’t specialize in teens. If you’re working with a family that’s feeling stuck—or raising a strong-willed teen who’s pushing all the limits—I’m the one they call when they need structure, humor, and a personality-based strategy that actually works. I’m always happy to refer families out, too—whether that’s for mental health services, school advocacy, or next-step planning. The work I do fits best when it’s part of a team approach.
Trusted Professions You Can Ask Me For An Intro To: Over the years, I’ve built a strong network of professionals who support teens and families from all angles. If you ever need a trusted referral, I’m happy to introduce you to incredible therapists, academic coaches, college counselors, and even specialists in youth sports or family health. I’ve worked alongside these folks in real life—not just online—and I love connecting people to the right resource at the right time.
